Solo Album For TISM's Jock Cheese

Could this be the most anticipated solo album since Mick Jagger stepped away from The Stones for 'She's The Boss'? TISM's Jock Cheese has recorded a solo album.

Despite the first solo splinter in the TISM ranks it is emphasised by Jock that he has not split from the band. Cheese claims a creative need to record his own songs as the reason the for release of 'Platter' and says 'I think most solo albums are appalling (but mine is good).

The fear of the solo album is something Cheese is well aware of. He says "On one occasions I used a credit card to enter a site selling CDs. I did this purely to see what was there. Oh OK, I bought a solo album. It was by Alan White, the drummer from Yes and it was really horrible".

He adds "To fight against solo albums you have to know about the torturous existence that being part of the rhythm section entails. I have been involved in a campaign to stop solo albums but it fizzled out. Honest'.

'Platter' is out through Shock.
