Afeni Shakur, the mother for Tupac Shakur (2PAC) has issued a statement following the Vatican naming one of her son`s songs as influential.

Afeni told allhiphop.com ?Ç£This came as such an amazing surprise ?Çô it?ÇÖs not something I would have ever thought possible. I give thanks every day, knowing Tupac?ÇÖs words and music continue to have such an incredible effect on people worldwide. My son was always striving to reach out to as many people as he could, and he changed the world in doing so.?Ç¥

The Vatican released a MySpace playlist yesterday and included 2PAC?ÇÖs ?ÇÿChanges?ÇÖ as we as Muse and Fleet Foxes in its list.

The Muse song was ?ÇÿUprising?ÇÖ. Fleet Foxes was ?ÇÿHe Don?ÇÖt Know Why?ÇÖ.
