Iggy Pop has reactivated The Stooges following the death of Ron Asheton in January this year.
The newly revised version of The Stooges brings back James Williamson who was very much a part of the 1973 ?ÇÿRaw Power?ÇÖ album. Williamson replaces Asheton for the original album.
For the shows prior to Asheton?ÇÖs death, nothing from ?ÇÿRaw Power?ÇÖ made the setlist.
Now 62-year old, Iggy is every much the punk he was 40 year ago when he first started the band.
Pop has announced that this version of The Stooges will be working hard live throughout 2010.
