The Michael Jackson `This Is It` album has topped the Billboard chart in the USA with sales of around 373,000.
The debut marks a continuous run of number one albums Jackson has achieved since ‘Thriller’ followed by ‘Bad’, ‘Dangerous’, ‘HIStory’, and ‘Invincible’.
‘Off The Wall’ peaked at number 3 in the USA but went on to sell more than 8 million copies.
The Michael Jackson movie ‘This Is It’, released last week, also topped the US box office collecting more than $37million is earnings in the first 7 days.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures have extended the cinema run for the movie until the end of the month and pushed the DVD release back to late January 2010.
