Beatles Download Site Sued

by Paul Cashmere - November 5 2009

Download site Bluebeat.com is being sued by EMI for unauthorised downloads of the Beatles catalogue.

As reported earlier in Undercover, Bluebeat.com started selling The Beatles for $4.25 an album or 25c a track last week.

EMI has now filed a copyright infringement suit against the company.

The Beatles catalogue is not available for digital download via iTunes or any other download service as Apple Corp, the Beatles company, has not reached an amicable agreement with EMI over royalties.

The Beatles catalogue is available through the computer game Rock Band. Apple also announced today the release of a limited edition 30,000 USB sticks containing the entire catalogue.
