Less than a week after U2 streamed their Pasadena show live on YouTube, Foo Fighters took to Facebook to play a free gig.

The free Foo Fighters show was streamed live from the band’s 606 studio in California on Friday night.

The show was a showcase for the band’s upcoming Greatest Hits album, due this week through Sony Music.

The show is a one off for Foo Fighters as after this Dave Grohl goes on to join Them Crooked Vultures for a world tour.

Them Crooked Vultures is Grohl’s new band with Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.

The band will in Australia in January.
