Someone has actually paid $18,300 for a clump of Elvis Presley?ÇÖs hair at auction.
The hair, shaved from the head of Elvis when he joined the army in 1958, was sold at an auction in Chicago on the weekend.
At $18,300, it wasn?ÇÖt the most expensive Elvis item to go under the hammer. An Elvis shirt sold for $52,000.
Leslie Hindman Auctioneers sold the items, including dolls, Christmas cards and records on Sunday.
They belonged to Gary Pepper, an Elvis fan who died in 1980.
