Mahalia Barnes had a baby today. Jimmy Barnes is a now a grandfather.

Mahalia and partner Ben Rodgers welcomed daughter Ruby Jane into the world today.

Mahalia Barnes is the eldest daughter of Jimmy and Jane Barnes. She joined the family biz with her sister Elly-may and brother Jackie in 1991 as the Tin Lids. They had a hit single with ?ÇÿWalk The Dinosaur?ÇÖ and a platinum selling album with ?ÇÿHey Rudolph?ÇÖ.

Jimmy and Mahalia recorded their first duet together with the song ?ÇÿGonna Take Some Time?ÇÖ on his ?ÇÿDouble Happiness?ÇÖ album. She also contributed vocals to Jimmy?ÇÖs 1990 hit ?ÇÿWhen Your Love Is Gone?ÇÖ when she was also a ?Ç£tin-lid?Ç¥.

Mahalia released her own album ?ÇÿVolume 1?ÇÖ with the Soul Mates earlier this year.
