You have cast your votes and the counting is complete. Brittle and Starting Sunday with go on tour with Faker for round 2 of The JD Set.
The tour will start in Melbourne in August 6 and then head to Sydney and Townsville.
Jack Daniel?ÇÖs started The JD Set to support live music and is passing that onto the fans with a policy of No Cover Charge.
Faker have been on the road with Pink. ?Ç£Were drawn to doing the JD Set as we feel it enables us to give something back to the music community. We?ÇÖre really glad to be able to help give a leg up to new emerging artists,?Ç¥ singer Nathan said.
For Brittle, ?Ç£As a band it is important to connect with new audiences all the time,?Ç¥ they say. We have been touring around the country for a little while now and we always take away a new experience. Faker have the ability to put on a great show and with hard work have been able to gain the respect of the industry and their fans alike. It is an exciting time to be on the road and every show for us is an experience and learning curve.?Ç¥
Rhys Thompson of Starting Sunday is equally looking forward to the gigs. ?Ç£Being part of larger scale shows and tours such as The JD Set is an amazing learning experience which we're excited about," he says. "There will obviously be a lot to learn from Faker, it is one thing to put on a great show, but it is a whole other skill to be able to back it up night after night, whilst moving from city to city, with flights, long drives and hours upon hours of waiting around. We are beyond ecstatic to be given this opportunity. To play alongside Faker, to play to packed houses at some of Australia?ÇÖs best venues and to have a sneaky couple of Jack?ÇÖs along the way, is a dream come true. We?ÇÖre excited as anything and can?ÇÖt wait until we hit the stage early August.?Ç¥
Round 3 tour dates for The JD Set featuring Faker with Brittle and Starting Sunday are:
August 6, Melbourne, The Prince Bandroom
August 7, Sydney, The Metro
August 8, Townsville, James Cook University
