Jackson Parents File for Guardianship Of The Children

The father and mother of Michael Jackson, Joe and Kathleen Jackson, have applied to become the legal guardians of the stars three children, Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr (12), Paris Michael Katherine Jackson (11) and Prince Michael II (7).

Papers were signed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday and a hearing set for August 3.

Katherine Jackson now has temporary custody of the children until the court hearing.

Prince Michael I and Paris are the children of Michael?ÇÖs first wife Debbie Rowe while Prince Michael II was born to a surrogate mother and is listed as ?Ç£unknown?Ç¥.

Debbie Rowe has been reported as saying that Michael was not really the father of the two children but a statement released today by her attorney says, "Ms. Rowe's only thoughts at this time have been regarding the devastating loss Michael's family has suffered. Ms. Rowe requests that Michael's family, and particularly the children, be spared such harmful, sensationalist speculation and that they be able to say goodbye to their loved one in peace."
