Sony Music is prepping the 1990 self-titled debut album by Southern Sons for a reissue.
?ÇÿSouthern Sons?ÇÖ by Southern Songs launched the band previously known as The State into newfound fame.
Southern Sons were Jack Jones (aka Irwin Thomas), Virgil Donati, Phil Buckle, Geoff Cain and Peter Bowman.
That first album had a string of hits including ?ÇÿHeart In Danger?ÇÖ, ?ÇÿAlways and Ever?ÇÖ and the big ballad ?ÇÿHold Me In Your Arms?ÇÖ.
Southern Sons?ÇÖ Jones and Buckle also backed John Farnham on his Chain Reaction tour.
Southern Sons released two more albums after the debut and broke up in 1995 after the third album ?ÇÿZone?ÇÖ.
Irwin these days is a member of Electric Mary. They will be supporting Alice Cooper on this Theatre of Death tour of Australia in August.
