30 years after they marked their territory and became the innovators of Ska alongside Madness, The Specials are coming to Australia for the first time.
There must have been something in the air in England 30 years ago. The Specials are still listened to, as are Madness, in a very positive way.
In 1979, The Specials released their debut single ‘Gangsters’. The big one though was ‘A Message To You Rudy’.
Prepare yourself for Terry Hall (vocals/co-writer), Lynval Golding (rhythm guitar/vocals), Neville Staple (toasting, percussion, backing vocals), Sir Horace Gentlemen (bass guitar), Roddy Radiation (lead guitar) and John Bradbury (drums) live in concert in Australia.
Dates are:
July 28, Sydney, The Enmore
July 30, Melbourne, The Palace
