`One Eye To Morocco` will be Deep Purple singer Ian Gillian’s first solo album of new material in over a decade.

Gillian’s last album was Dreamcatcher from 1997 but in 2006 he released a re-recorded collection of songs from each of his musical eras called ‘Gillan’s Inn’.

One Eye To Morocco was written during gaps in the most recent Deep Purple world tour.

The title is a reference to being cross-eyed. The full expression is “to have one eye to Morocco and another to Caucasus”.

The album will be released on March 23rd.

Deep Purple will return to active duty in November 10.
