Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr has hinted that the band may return in 2009 with a new album.
Albert Hammond Jr told teletext magazine Planet Sound, that The Strokes may be back next year or it could spell the end for the group.
"If we don't make a Strokes record before the end of 2009, people will think that's the end of us.'
'Nothing's set, but we're definitely figuring out something to do for 2009."
Hammond has been busy promoting his second solo album ¿Cómo Te Llama' out on Rough Trade this week.
