Slash has stated that after the current Velvet Revolver tour, singer Scott Weiland's band Stone Temple Pilots will be reforming.
As reported last week in Undercover, Weiland made the surprise announcement at a solo gig in Florida recently.
Velvet Revolver and former Guns 'n' Roses' guitarist Slash concurs. He told Billboard that Stone Temple Pilots will do a handful of shows.
STP broke up in 2003. Weiland, Slash and Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum of Guns 'n' Roses then formed Velvet Revolver with Dave Kushner of Suicidal Tendencies.
Velvet Revolver did will with the first album 'Contraband' but the second record Libertad went nowhere.
