The live performance of 'Funky Tonight' by John Butler Trio and Keith Urban has become the first song to debut on the Australian chart as a download only.
ARIA changed the chart rules recently which stated that an artist had to have a physical CD release to have the download figure included on the chart.
Now, downloads without a physical CD can make up the chart position and this week's chart was the first for the new rule to take effect.
'Funky Tonight' was recorded just two weeks ago at the ARIA Awards at Acer Arena in Sydney.
Urban played guitar in the JB Trio, making it a one-off John Butler quartet.
'Funky Tonight' sold 2,406 units to qualify it for the number 11 spot this week on the ARIA chart.
