Rumours heat up about a reunion of the original members of Black Sabbath.

While Ozzy is on the road with his own band, and Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi are travelling around the world as Sabbath's 'Heaven And Hell'-era incarnation fronted by Ronnie James Dio, there has been much talk that 2008 will be the year of a reincarnated Black Sabbath. Or that's what Sharon Osbourne has been saying.

Billboard reports that Sharon confirmed that her and Ozzy are "definitely talking to the guys." Iommi reiterated that he and Ozzy regularly speak, and "nothing is set in stone". If there is to be a reunion, Iommi wants there to be new material to tour with. It's been almost thirty years since the "classic" incarnation of the band released a full album. Iommi told Billboard, "I haven't written an album with Ozzy for a long time, so we'll have to see how long that'll take, and what it involves."

Iommi is ultimately philosophical about his future with either line-up, as there has also been talk of keeping Heaven And Hell going. He mused, "I mean, I didn't even know this [Heaven & Hell tour] was gonna happen a year ago, so never say never."
