Mind-blowing experimental rock supergroup Battles are recording their second album and have booked two shows.
Warp Records have announced that Battles have finally headed into the studio to record the follow-up to their head-messing 2007 debut full-length Mirrored.
Mirrored featured on multiple Best Of 2007 lists from publications including Time, NME, The Guardian, and Pitchfork.
The supergroup, consisting of Ian Williams (ex-Don Caballero and Storm & Stress), Dave Konopka (ex-Lynx), John Stanier (ex-Helmet), and Tyondai Braxton (son of composer Anthony Braxton), have also booked two shows.
The first is on Tuesday October 26 t Le Poisson Rouge in New York and the second is part of ATP Release The Bats at The Forum in London on Saturday October 30.
Word is they'll play new material from the recording sessions.
