2009 Australian Idol runner-up Hayley Warner is heading off to Antarctica.
Professor Robert Swan is leading the Worth Youth Expedition to Antarctica on March 27.
The focus of the trip is the opening of the first environmental school in Antarctica on King George Island to be called E-Base.
Hayley will join the first indigenous young Australians on the trip, track star Narelle Long and AFL Flying Boomerang Squad member Malcolm Lynch.
The trip is part of Earth Day, which Hayley is an ambassador of.
