Howard Stern has confirmed on his radio show that he is in negotiations to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol.
Cowell will leave Idol at the end of this year to develop an American version of his successful British reality show X-Factor.
?Ç£There?ÇÖs no better job on the planet that judging that fucking karaoke contest,?Ç¥ Stern said on this satellite radio show today.
The King of the Shock Jocks is in the last year of a 5 year $500 million contract with Sirius radio and also said ?Ç£They?ÇÖd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough.?Ç¥
It is early days. If Stern does head to that ?Ç£fucking karaoke contest?Ç¥ as he puts it he will not be on air until 2011.
Meanwhile, Idol makes for a nice negotiation wild card while he also works towards renewing his Sirius satellite deal. Stern cannot lose.
